CAD Supervisor

Job Summary:
Supervisor level knowledge of multiple CAD Software Programs. Manage drafting projects independently and lead team(s) of draftsmen. Perform a complete range of drafting, detailing and other related duties to produce accurate drawings as part of services provided by AEDesign (Pvt.) Ltd. Utilize assigned software for 2D drafting or generate drawings. Supervise the process of problem resolution and coordination of activities. Knowledge of drafting standards is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Capability of supervising multiple project teams with the help of CAD supervisors and other designated team members.
2. Well versed in Project Management concepts (scheduling jobs / estimating job times etc.).
3. Specialist level experience of multiple CAD software programs.
4. Capability of technically guiding multiple project teams.
5. Capability of independently conducting Software Trainings (and utilize CAD supervisors as assistants in the area).
6. Responsible for evaluation of effectiveness of trainings through tests/assignments to the trainees.
7. Thorough knowledge of drafting techniques and principles to include and use of common software drafting tools and instruments combined with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.
8. Review and have the drawings revised as required and follow up to obtain needed information, be able to communicate instructions to resolve discrepancies in views, sections, dimensions, etc.
9. Supervise and perform administrative duties to support and help support engineering activities including document storage, distribution, and retrieval.
10. Perform Quality Checking (QC) on the Drawings/3D models generated by the peers.
11. Prepare or generate reports as required to document the Quality Checking Process.
12. Approve drawings to customer specific requirements.
13. Maintain files and data in accordance with established policies and procedures.
14. Participate in all accident and incident investigations in the area of responsibility.
15. Maintain compliance with visual management standards.
16. Accepting and assuming responsibility for any other task/assignment which higher management deems fit for this position.

Qualification:
B-Tech Pass, B-Tech Hons, DAE Mechanical

Experience:
At least 05 Years experience, DAE mechanical with 04 years experience

Skills:

1. Expert level ability of creating from input 2D Drawings, which may be in a CAD format or 2D Images, accurate 3D models.
2. Expert level ability of performing conversion of 3D models/2D drawings from one CAD Software format to the other CAD Software format.
3. Expert level ability of creating detailed production drawings for parts and assemblies from sketches and preliminary layouts in accordance with company standards.
4. Expert level ability of incorporating drawing views, sections, and details in a clear and concise manner.
5. Expert level ability to lead a project from concept to final completion.
6. Expert level ability of creating parts and assemblies models.
7. Expert level ability of creating detailed machine drawings in the designated Software.
8. Expert level ability of creating detailed fabrication drawings in the designated Software.
9. Expert level ability of generating BOM as material take off for manufacturing.
10. Expert level utilization of mechanical concepts and practices, drafting standards, symbols, nomenclature engineering terms, proper use of materials and reference books.
