BAT Global Business Solutions Pakistan has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Finance Executive

JOB TITLE: Commercial Finance Executive (12 months contract)

FUNCTION: Finance

LOCATION: Lahore, Pakistan

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Commercial Finance Executives in analysing Trade Financials and Key Performance Indicators, to facilitate effective decision making and improve efficiency and effectiveness of spend
  • Active involvement in month-end closing activities for relevant P&L items (Revenue, Gross Margin, Marketing Investment etc.), including accruals / journal postings.
  • Assisting with the preparation of budget/plan/forecasts with support from the team, and to provide accurate and timely information to help Trade Team monitor on-going performance.
  • Tracking & monitoring actual marketing investment spend vs budget, and flag where corrective action may be required
  • Supporting and Performing month-end/quarterly closing activities through processing journal postings/accounting entries/intercompany recharges
  • Maintaining master data to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Pricing memo review and pricing release in ECC system
  • Updating pricing and trading terms in BPC system
  • PO creation / Open Items Management
  • Customer Rebate Management and Reconciliations
  • Running P&L / profitability reports by customer
  • Preparing cashflow projections based on inputs from AP & AR
  • Ensuring accuracy and robustness of the relevant financial accounts, in line with International Accounting Standards with the correct levels of authority
  • Providing ad hoc support as required by Commercial Finance Managers / Executives and Trade/Marketing teams

What are we looking for?

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting & Finance, or an ACCA or CA finalist
    • 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in the field
    • Basic understanding and knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
    • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to engage with stakeholders on virtual platforms.
    • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to manage and execute responsibilities independently
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
