Job Title: Manager – IT, Database Administration

Required Qualifications:

• Masters / Bachelors degree (16 years of equivalent education) in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related fields from HEC recognized institution.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in database support.

Job Description:

  1. Analyze, develop, test and implement complex physical database designs; ensuring proper and effective structure, security and operation of databases that support Company Business applications.
  2. Manage the availability of databases for business applications of the Company.
  3. Manage and monitor backups, restore and recovery of databases.
  4. Manage and perform disaster recovery operations of databases.
  5. Develop and co-ordinate in producing security rules, procedures and guidelines for the protection of data sources.
  6. Monitor and optimize the performance of all the Databases by utilizing different tuning techniques.
  7. Develop and implement data administration policy, standards and models.
  8. Capacity planning of Oracle & MSSQL database servers by analyzing their rate of growth.
  9. Provide timely support to business team in routine based operations.
  10. Ability to create test environments/instances of databases as per business requirement.
  11. Fine-tune, establish and initiate database recovery activities, backup, installation, version upgrade and patching of databases.
