We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to oversee the management, optimization, and integrity of our enterprise-level databases. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in database architecture, data security, performance tuning, and disaster recovery. As a Senior DBA, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the scalability and reliability of our database systems, while also driving the implementation of advanced database technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable database environments across multiple platforms (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL).
• Lead the performance tuning and optimization of large-scale databases, ensuring high throughput and minimal downtime.
• Develop and enforce database management policies and procedures, including backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and database access control.
• Provide strategic input on database architecture, working closely with development teams to design data models that align with application requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues in production, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure fast recovery and continuity of service.
• Manage and maintain database security protocols, ensuring compliance with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Oversee database migrations, upgrades, and the deployment of patches and updates in complex production environments.
• Implement and maintain cloud database services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and manage hybrid database solutions.
• Mentor junior DBAs and drive knowledge-sharing within the team to ensure a strong database engineering culture.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Database Administrator, with a strong track record in database optimization, security, and scalability.
• Expertise in SQL, T-SQL, and PL/SQL, and experience with complex data manipulation and reporting.
• Hands-on experience with RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
• In-depth knowledge of database replication, clustering, partitioning, and load balancing.
• Experience with cloud databases and containerized environments (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud Databases, Docker).
• Strong proficiency in database automation using scripts and tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, PowerShell).
• Expertise in disaster recovery, backup strategies, and high availability solutions (e.g., Always On Availability Groups, Oracle RAC).
• Solid understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Oracle DBA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, or similar certifications.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Familiarity with machine learning and AI as applied to data analysis is advantageous.
