About the job Principal Business Analyst (BA)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the business analysis process, including gathering, analyzing, and defining requirements.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and objectives.

  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and developers to ensure alignment of business requirements with technical solutions.

  • Produce high-quality documentation, including functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and workflow diagrams.

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure clear communication and understanding.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives, identifying areas for increased efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Conduct impact assessments and feasibility studies for proposed solutions.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.

  • Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to their professional development.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in business analysis, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.

  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and process mapping.

  • Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools.

  • Proven ability to manage and facilitate stakeholder meetings and lead discussions to gather clear and concise business requirements.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Experience in translating business needs into technical solutions, ensuring proper documentation and communication across teams.

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in fintech, stock trading, or similar industries.

  • Knowledge of enterprise software solutions, ERP systems, and CRM tools.

  • Background in business process modeling and tools (e.g., BPMN).

  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Visio.
