Job Title: Sr. Data Engineer

Location: Green Forts 2, Lahore (On-site)

Experience Level: 5+ years of experience

Time: 5pm-2am

The Role:

Mavericks United is looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our on-site team. This role is critical in organizing, managing, and analyzing our data infrastructure to support innovative product solutions. As a developer in this space, you'll work cross-functionally with engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless data flow and scalable systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement robust data pipelines using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
  • Write and optimize high-performance SQL queries to support data transformations and reporting
  • Lead the management and optimization of our Snowflake data warehouse; strong expertise in columnar data stores is a must
  • Define and maintain data quality checks and monitoring frameworks
  • Partner closely with data scientists and analysts to ensure data accessibility and usability
  • Develop interactive visualizations and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field—or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role with increasing leadership responsibilities
  • Strong command of SQL and deep understanding of relational and columnar databases
  • Solid experience building ETLs with Python or similar high-level programming languages
  • Expertise in Snowflake is highly preferred
  • Good grasp of cloud-based platforms, preferably AWS, but GCP or Azure is also relevant
  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Terraform or other IaC tools is a plus
  • Strong analytical thinking and a passion for solving data challenges
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • (Nice to have) Knowledge of the mortgage lending industry
