Research Fellow Position in the Department of Environmental Sciences BRPGP006-13 at Government College University, Faisalabad. Two positions are available under The ILSI RESEARCH FOUNDATION project No. BRPGP006-13, titled "Linking Cry-protein persistence with microbial diversity, enzymatic activity, nutrient cycling and gaseous emissions in soils under Bt cotton in Punjab."
Responsibilities- Field soil sampling
- Laboratory incubations
- Biochemical analyses
- Preparing project reports
- Writing new proposals and manuscripts
- Qualification: M.Sc or M.Phil in Environmental or related sciences/engineering
- Experience: Experience in soil biogeochemical analyses, soil microbiology, greenhouse studies, and report writing preferred
- Project duration: 12 months
- Honorarium: Rs. 10,000 per month per post (consolidated)
- Appointments are temporary; incumbent will be required to sign a bond for the entire duration of the project
One-page application including a short CV must reach the Department of Environmental Sciences at Government College University, Faisalabad by January 10, 2014. Applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals who are not married to a foreign national.
