About Us:Zorbix Technologies is a growing software development startup based in Karachi, Pakistan. Our compact and talented team is currently building custom web-based solutions for clients across industries. With a lean structure and a performance-driven culture, we're looking to scale our operations by bringing in a sharp and proactive Business Development Executive who can help us build meaningful client relationships and drive consistent sales growth.
Job Summary:As a Business Development Executive, your primary role will be to generate leads, write and submit proposals, and convert them into successful business deals. You will be working closely with the technical and marketing teams to identify opportunities, present value propositions, and expand the company's footprint across various sales channels including Upwork, Freelancer, LinkedIn, Clutch, GoodFirms, and direct outreach.
Key Responsibilities:· Proposal Bidding:
- Bid on Upwork, Freelancer, Guru, PeoplePerHour, and similar platforms.
- Analyze project requirements, prepare winning proposals, and respond to client queries.
- Write tailored cover letters and proposals based on client requirements.
- Maintain a high response and success rate for submitted bids.
· Lead Generation:
- Identify new business opportunities through LinkedIn, email outreach, WhatsApp marketing, and website leads.
- Maintain a lead pipeline and manage CRM tools (Zoho CRM, Hubspot & Salesforce).
· Sales Funnel Management:
- Work with the marketing team to convert leads from different campaigns.
- Nurture warm leads and follow up consistently to ensure conversion.
· Client Communication:
- Conduct Zoom/Google Meet calls to understand project requirements.
- Present technical capabilities and project proposals clearly and persuasively.
· Partnerships & Networking:
- Develop business relationships with prospective clients and agencies.
- Collaborate with marketing to identify relevant events, webinars, and networking opportunities.
· Reporting & Strategy:
- Provide weekly and monthly reports on leads, conversions, and sales performance.
- Analyze bid success ratio and implement improvements in proposal strategy.
- Proven experience (1+ years) in bidding and business development on Upwork, Freelancer, or similar platforms.
- Understanding of software development services including Web & Mobile App Development, UI/UX Design, SaaS, AI, and Cloud.
- Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to write customized proposals, avoiding templates.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and CRM tools (HubSpot, Zoho, etc.).
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals.
- Sharp Analytical skills to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
- Degree not required but should be pursuing studies in related field like business, marketing etc.
- Knowledge of different pricing models (Fixed, Hourly, Milestone-based).
- Self-driven with a result-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience with cold email campaigns.
- Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing metrics, or lead scoring.
- Familiarity with automation tools like Lemlist, Instantly, or Apollo.
