Requisites
  • The candidate must hold a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 20 years of experience and be below 50 years of age. The role is for a Resident Engineer (Electrical) responsible for construction supervision and commissioning of electrical works at LEPCL 660 MW CFPP Bin Qasim Karachi.
  • At least 10 years of construction supervision experience in power plants with a capacity of over 300 MW, such as Combined Cycle, Conventional Steam Power Plants, or Coal Fired Power Plants, as a Resident Engineer (Electrical) or Senior Engineer (Electrical), is required.
  • Experience in Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of coal-fired power plants will be preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Report to the Consultants' Chief Resident Engineer, liaise effectively with LEPCL / Owners' Lead Electrical Engineer, and coordinate with the Consultants' team of Electrical Engineers and Contractors' Lead Electrical Engineer on-site.
  • Review detailed drawings and Method Statements for installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems; lead the Consultants' Electrical Engineers team, assigning tasks such as attending RFIs and witnessing tests on electrical equipment installed at the site.
  • Coordinate with Resident Engineers of other disciplines to meet project milestones.
  • Monitor the quality and progress of works at the site and participate in weekly progress meetings.
  • Review and approve Electrical 'As-built drawings' and hand over these documents to the client upon project completion.
  • Manage and monitor the preparation of Punch Lists for electrical equipment, and discuss these with the client for finalization and handover to the contractor.
