Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships with key clients, and driving revenue growth for the hotel. This role involves market research, sales strategy development, and partnership negotiations to maximize occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), and overall profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Growth & Revenue Generation:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities (corporate accounts, travel agencies, event planners, MICE groups, etc.).
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas.
    • Prepare and present sales proposals, contracts, and promotional packages.
  2. Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, OTAs, and event organizers.
    • Conduct sales calls, site inspections, and networking events to attract new business.
    • Address client inquiries, negotiate contracts, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  3. Strategic Partnerships & Marketing Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and digital strategies.
    • Establish partnerships with local businesses, tourism boards, and airlines for cross-promotions.
    • Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and sales missions.
  4. Reporting & Performance Analysis:
    • Track sales performance, prepare weekly/monthly reports, and present findings to management.
    • Monitor KPIs (occupancy, ADR, RevPAR) and adjust strategies accordingly.
    • Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Opera, Munshi) to manage leads and client interactions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in business development, sales, or revenue management in hotels/hospitality.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decisions.
  • Personal Traits: Self-motivated, target-driven, and adaptable to a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in luxury hotels/resorts or international hotel chains.
  • Knowledge of revenue management tools.
  • Multilingual abilities (advantageous for international markets).
