Global Solution Development Lead

What You'll Do

The COE Solution Development Lead is a thought leader responsible for overseeing the detailed design, development, and maintenance of complex data and analytic solutions.

This role requires strong technical management skills, project management, team building, mentoring, interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of Teradata Solutions Strategy, Teradata Technology, Data Architecture, and the partner engagement model.

This position reports directly to Teradata's Head of Solution COE.

1. Lead the team responsible for developing scalable, efficient, and innovative data and analytics solutions that address complex business problems.
2. Oversee the end-to-end solution development process, including data ingestion, storage, processing, analysis, and visualization.
3. Develop comprehensive solution architectures, identifying key components, integration points, and potential challenges, ensuring alignment with industry standards and business objectives.
4. Design flexible solutions for integrating various data sources and platforms, optimizing for real-time and batch processing as needed.
5. Build custom data pipelines and dashboards using emerging technologies.
6. Implement best practices to ensure security, privacy, and legal compliance, collaborating with relevant domain owners for review and adherence.
7. Work with senior leadership to align data and analytics initiatives with broader company goals, emphasizing business value creation through IP and analytics.
8. Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, analysts, engineers, and IP professionals to foster innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
9. Ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
10. Promote knowledge sharing across teams, ensuring data solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with the organization's technological roadmap.

The successful candidate can work from any Teradata GSIH facility or virtually in India, Pakistan, or Prague, with expected business travel of 20-30%.

You will collaborate with the COE Solutions lead to transform conceptual solutions into detailed designs and develop them into packaged solutions. You will lead a team of data scientists, solution engineers, data engineers, and software engineers, including borrowed resources from other Teradata organizations. You will coordinate with product development, legal, IT, and business teams to ensure seamless integration and IP protection.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (MS or MBA preferred).
• 15+ years in IT, with 10+ years in data & analytics solution development, IP management, or related fields, including at least 4+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven success in developing data-driven solutions (AI/ML models, analytics platforms, data pipelines) and managing IP portfolios.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including legal, R&D, and product teams for IP development and protection.
• Deep understanding of emerging data analytics trends such as big data, cloud computing, and AI.
• Strong technical expertise in data analytics, machine learning, and related fields, combined with business acumen.
• Knowledge of intellectual property laws, patent processes, and IP strategy in tech sectors.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage complex projects and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, fostering innovation and collaboration.
