We are seeking a highly collaborative and results-oriented Senior IT Manager with 5+ years of experience to lead InfoSec, IT operations & infrastructure, collaborate with admin and drive automation initiatives at Emumba. Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly collaborative and results-oriented Senior IT Manager with 5+ years of experience to lead InfoSec, IT operations & infrastructure, collaborate with admin and drive automation initiatives at Emumba. This role requires a strong focus on interpersonal skills to effectively manage the internal IT team, collaborate across departments, and implement solutions that streamline operations and enhance security through automation. The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging technology to improve efficiency and possess a proven ability to "get things done" in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic IT Leadership: Drive continuous improvement of IT infrastructure with a focus on automation across core systems (e.g., Google Workspace, SolarWinds, BambooHR, CultureAmp), while regularly reporting progress and insights to leadership
  • Operational Excellence & Automation: Ensure smooth daily IT operations through proactive service and incident management, effective IT asset management (ITAM), and the adoption of automation and AI tools to optimize IT processes
  • Security & Compliance Governance: Lead the organization's compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, ISO 42001, SOC2, GDPR), perform GRC activities, and implement robust cybersecurity practices — including EDR/XDR, firewalls, and AI-enhanced security measures
  • Network Management: Oversee the organization's network (LAN/WAN) team, ensuring performance, security, and scalability, while leveraging automation for monitoring and management
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proactively engage and collaborate with other departments to understand their priorities and align them with corporate needs, by providing automated IT services / solutions without losing focus on the company's business strategy
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor the IT Security and Operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in technical support and delivery

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in IT management with a strong record in driving & leading initiatives
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels
  • Experience with the administration and integration of tools like Google Workspace, SolarWinds, Bamboohr, CultureAmp, ESET (or similar)
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices, risk assessment, and compliance frameworks (ideally ISO 27001, ISO 42001, SOC2, GDPR)
  • Proven team leader with a track record of motivating and guiding technical teams
