Purpose & Job Description: To interact with and create lasting relationships with guests, encouraging loyalty and repeat business. Lead and support baristas on shift to maintain high service standards.

Guest Service
  • Greet all guests with a friendly smile
  • Demonstrate passion and confidence for the Second Cup brand
  • Provide quick, friendly, and genuine service
  • Respond appropriately to guest concerns to generate satisfaction
Product Quality
  • Ensure high standards for product preparation
  • Follow all standard recipes
  • Educate guests on products and services
Teamwork
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and management
  • Assist during peak times
  • Implement positive changes collaboratively
  • Contribute to a positive work environment
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as required
Cash Handling
  • Follow cash handling procedures
  • Manage voids and mistakes appropriately
  • Reconcile cash and register at shift end
Job Challenges
  • Understand product features and benefits
  • Memorize drink recipes
  • Handle guest complaints face-to-face
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Maintain coffee freshness and control waste
  • Engage in suggestive selling
  • Multitask effectively during shifts
  • Coach and train team members
  • Work flexible hours/days as needed
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Guest service skills with a positive attitude
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Experience in cash handling, retail, or food service (preferred)
  • Product knowledge and selling skills
  • Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism
