Location: Karachi

Key Responsibilities Head of Supply Chain:

Procurement & Purchasing:

  • Oversee the procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and general items in alignment with production forecasts and business requirements.
  • Develop sourcing strategies, evaluate suppliers, and negotiate contracts to achieve cost, quality, and service goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Production, QA/QC, R&D, and Finance to ensure specifications and budgets are met.

Import and Export Operations:
  • Manage all aspects of import and export processes, including customs clearance, freight forwarding, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with domestic and international trade regulations, including handling duties, taxes, and licenses.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and logistics providers to ensure smooth international shipments and deliveries.

Warehousing & Material Dispensing:
  • Oversee warehouse operations, ensuring proper receipt, storage, segregation, and dispensing of raw, packaging, and general materials.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or industry-specific standards for material handling and traceability.
  • Implement inventory control measures to manage stock levels, minimize loss, and avoid overstocking or shortages.
  • Coordinate material dispensing to production and other departments in accordance with batch requirements and safety protocols.
  • Maintain warehouse layout, labeling systems, and cleanliness to ensure efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Supplier & Inventory Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships for strategic sourcing and supply continuity.
  • Monitor supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, pricing), and conduct audits and evaluations.
  • Optimize inventory planning to balance service levels, working capital, and operational efficiency.

Team Leadership & Cross-functional Coordination:
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement, logistics, and warehouse personnel.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to ensure alignment in procurement, production planning, and quality assurance.
  • Establish KPIs and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree or BBA or MBA
  • 10 years of Senior Supply Chain Manager.
  • Strong understanding of factory operations
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and contract management skills.
