Position Summary

This role is part of the Revenue Accounting team and will help ensure revenue figures provide a true and fair view of the WBD Group financial position. The responsibilities are focused on India and may involve collaboration with global teams.

This individual will be primarily responsible for:

• Leading the India Revenue month-end close and related reporting and analysis.
• Reviewing and posting monthly journal entries related to digital business.
• Ensuring all accounting activity is properly documented and in accordance with SOX controls and internal policy.
• Performing technical accounting research on ad hoc issues.
• Documenting and continuously improving sub-processes.
• Ad hoc travel between India offices or abroad may be required.

• Prepare, review, analyze, and/or record Revenue Accounting entries to the general ledger for month-end closing, including revenue, deferred revenue, CECL (Bad Debts) and complex billing issues.
• Prepare and ensure all documentation for G/L entries meets policy and SOX compliance and is properly maintained.
• Perform digital revenue related balance sheet account reviews and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure G/L information is accurate, traceable and auditable; ensure relevant reconciliations are prepared and reviewed monthly.
• Assist with internal and external audit work, including coordinating the Revenue Accounting request list and SOX testing with auditors.
• Perform accounting research and write memos documenting unusual or significant transactions and positions.
• Participate in national and international projects on DTC.
• Prepare, edit and update documentation for the India Revenue accounting and compliance process manual.
• Learn the functionality of Revenue billing systems (e.g., SAP) and the revenue process.
• Apply knowledge to recommend and implement process improvements.
• Support EMEA and US work as necessary.
• Lead cross-department meetings, prepare agendas, schedule meetings, document and track action items; escalate issues and drive resolution.
• Perform special or routine projects or duties as assigned.
• Manage deadlines and multiple priorities effectively and independently.
• Prepare information for quarterly SEC reporting templates; demonstrate ownership and task completion.
• Work closely with the manager and other teams; collaborate with AR team to foster open communication and information transparency.

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with 3+ years of experience or Master's degree with 5–7 years of accounting and reporting experience.
• Preferred understanding of US GAAP for revenue recognition.
• Experience with enterprise information systems; SAP is a strong plus.
• Digital experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of the media/entertainment industry preferred.
• Strong ability to organize, analyze, and present oral and written communication concisely.
• Experience with international accounting and foreign currency transactions is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; proficiency in MS Excel (revenue data modelling).
• Experience with SAP (S/4HANA / RAR is an advantage).
• High integrity, critical thinker, and detail-oriented.

• Team player with strong interpersonal skills; able to work well with others.
