Job Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Knitting Specialist to conduct on-site visits to various knitting units for the purpose of inspecting knitted fabrics, ensuring quality standards, identifying defects or inconsistencies, and delivering comprehensive reports directly to the CEO. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in knitting processes and fabric types, with excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Visit multiple knitting units on a scheduled basis.
• Perform in-depth inspection of knitted fabrics for quality, consistency, and defects.
• Verify compliance with design specs, yarn quality, gauge, GSM, color, and finishing standards.
• Identify issues such as holes, streaks, oil marks, yarn problems, or improper tension.
• Communicate directly with unit supervisors to understand their processes and resolve concerns.
• Take photographs and measurements where needed to support evaluations.
• Prepare clear, structured, and accurate fabric inspection reports for company leadership.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements and defect prevention.
• Ensure that findings and updates are shared regularly and directly with the CEO.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in fabric inspection, preferably in a knitting environment.
• Strong knowledge of circular knitting machines, yarn types, fabric structures, and finishing.
• Excellent analytical and observational skills.
• Proficiency in preparing technical reports and using inspection checklists.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with textile quality control systems and standards (e.g., 4-Point System).
• Ability to use basic tools for GSM, colorfastness, and shrinkage testing.
• Proficiency in Excel or other report-writing tools.
