University degree with a minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience in contract and/or procurement administration/development is required, preferably on PMC or EPC type projects. Alternatively, a high school diploma is acceptable.
Report to and work as directed by the Contract Specialist. Responsibilities include administrating various contracts and related procurement functions to ensure smooth execution. Efficiently conduct and manage contractual matters arising, including claims, disputes, insurance, and guarantees/sureties, as per the requirements of contracts and applicable laws. Deal with legal disputes locally. Initiate and prepare invitation to Tender documents for potential tenders, and evaluate their technical and commercial proposals. Consult with contractors or suppliers, review quotations, negotiate to finalize contract terms and conditions, and award contracts. Conduct progress reviews and other meetings as necessary, evaluate each contractor's/vendor's performance, and negotiate any changes while dealing with the contractor/vendor firmly and fairly, while still protecting the Company. Key activities include the day-to-day management of the project's contracts.
