Procurement Officer - Contract

LOCATION: RCP
REPORTS TO: MANAGER PROCUREMENT

Overview

The Procurement Officer - Contract is responsible for managing procurement for the allocated category/segment from PR to final execution and settlement. Responsibilities include daily review of PRs, RFQ issuance, preparing QEM/proposals, obtaining approvals per SOP, negotiating and issuing POs or contracts, monitoring delivery, ensuring proper documentation, and overseeing payment processes with an emphasis on transparent transactions and compliance.

Core Responsibilities
  • Wellbeing and Compliance: Understand and comply with SOPs, policies, and procedures. Promote safety culture and monitor safety observations.
  • Procurement Execution: Lead competitive bidding, award POs/Contracts with stakeholders, guide RFQ processes, manage cash procurement, ensure transparency, verify rates, and maintain confidentiality at all steps.
  • Source Development: Explore new sources, develop a preferred vendor list for critical items, identify alternative sources, and use SRM to resolve issues and reconcile data.
  • Team Development: Foster delivery-focused culture, participate in training, develop procurement acumen, and oversee delivery, approval, and payment processes. Follow up on invoices and GRS as needed.
  • Performance & KPIs: Manage KPIs for area allocation on a half-year basis, promote contractual/project business value, and prepare monthly PR/PO/SAP Ariba progress reports and savings initiatives.
  • Soft Working Environment: Operate in a paperless environment using SAP and SAP Ariba for RFQ processes, PO creation, and soft records management.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Master's in Commerce / Accounts / Finance / Business
  • 2–3 years procurement experience in manufacturing (preferable with an MNC)
  • Age: Maximum 35 years
  • Computer skills: SAP, MS Office; strong soft skills are a plus
  • English fluency, written and spoken
