Qualification & Experience:

Essential:

  • BA/BSc/MSc
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience

Desirable:

  • Degree or diploma in Transport Management or related field
  • Retired from ASC/EME or practical experience in managing transportation operations, including fleet management
  • Experience in vehicle maintenance supervision
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain NUST Transport in good condition and ready for use
  2. Ensure adherence to transport and maintenance policies
  3. Ensure drivers are familiar with Pakistan Highway Code
  4. Follow vehicle maintenance systems strictly
  5. Verify drivers possess valid licenses
  6. Conduct regular inspections of all vehicles
  7. Keep DD Transport updated on all vehicle movements
  8. Monitor POL consumption
  9. Ensure drivers are familiar with service norms; staff drivers should be properly dressed
  10. Arrange centralized transport for staff and students within Islamabad/Rawalpindi & Taxila
  11. Manage transport for NUST employees' children
  12. Handle issuing and receipt of transport to users
  13. Procure spare parts, tyres, batteries as per SOPs
  14. Provide transport to officers, faculty, and staff on payment basis
  15. Ensure timely repair and maintenance of vehicles in workshops
  16. Manage shuttle carts for student transport within campus
  17. Oversee hired transport for student pick & drop services
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Vehicle operation, documentation, and maintenance
  • Traffic laws and road safety regulations
Training and Certification:
  • Fleet Management (over 10 years)
Desirable:
  • Logistics/Transport Management Training
