Hiring: IT Support Specialist

Experience: 3+ years

We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Support Specialist to manage and support the company's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will oversee company-wide networking, Active Directory/Domain Controller (AD/DC), Office 365 administration, and firewall management. Additionally, the role includes liaising with ISPs, supporting IT procurement, and ensuring seamless day-to-day IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network and Infrastructure Management
  • Design, monitor, and maintain the company's network, ensuring reliability and security.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and minimize downtime for uninterrupted operations.
  • Collaborate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for connectivity and performance optimization.
  • AD/DC and Office 365 Administration
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory and Domain Controllers, ensuring secure and efficient operations.
  • Administer Office 365, including user account management, permissions, and troubleshooting.
  • Implement best practices for identity management and access controls.
  • Firewall and Security Management
  • Configure, monitor, and update firewalls to protect the company's IT environment.
  • Conduct regular security audits and implement measures to mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • IT Procurement
  • Identify and procure hardware, software, and IT services based on business needs.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure cost-effective solutions and manage vendor relationships.
  • Technical Support
  • Provide Level 2/3 support for IT issues, escalating to higher levels when necessary.
  • Assist employees with hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience managing networks, AD/DC, and Office 365.
  • Familiarity with firewall configuration and management.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in networking protocols, troubleshooting, and security best practices.
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policies, and Domain Controller setup.
  • Experience with Office 365 administration and its associated tools.
  • Knowledge of IT hardware, software procurement, and vendor management.
