Senior Functional Consultant

JOB DESCRIPTION

This senior-level consulting position provides quality and innovative solution leadership to the NetSuite practice through working with project teams to deliver NetSuite solutions within constraints of time and budget. The candidate will be guiding customers to ensure proper use of NetSuite environments, designing and optimizing system processes based on customer business model and requirements, and resolving customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions that include NetSuite and 3rd-party solutions.

Ideal candidate possesses 10+ years of business application consulting experience, including 5+ years of NetSuite experience, and can demonstrate expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families. Must possess ability to design functional solutions encompassing multiple products and make solution design decisions based on business needs and technology considerations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business needs to help ensure NetSuite solution meets the customers' objectives by combining industry standard methodologies, product knowledge, and business acumen.
• Review functional feature gaps that may arise and devise appropriate solutions across the NetSuite ecosystem with budget, timeline and system landscape in mind.
• Perform end-to-end system testing, assist customers with completing user acceptance testing (UAT) and system rollout / cutover.
• Develop training plan for customer users and conduct training for customer and internal resources as needed.
• Work with project teams to address customer issues during and after implementation project; may recommend non-native NetSuite solutions include customizations and third-party solutions.
• Provide guidance to project team and customers to ensure appropriate and long-term scalable use of NetSuite and third-party applications.
• Participate in initiatives to design, develop and deploy product-grade custom applications that enhance and expand functionalities of NetSuite.
• Ensure NetSuite practice expertise and its solution offerings are leveraged across customers and other lines of business when required.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to be self-directed, multi-task, and complete deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Minimum of 10 years of ERP functional consulting experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of NetSuite functional consulting experience.
• Minimum of 5 full-cycle NetSuite implementation projects as a functional or techno-functional consultant.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient at getting hands-on with technology and presenting concepts effectively at various levels internally or with customers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in business requirements analysis, solution design, data analysis and production issue resolution.
• Demonstrated experience in end-to-end business process flows.
• Experience with integration platforms, which may include Boomi, Celigo, Mulesoft, Oracle Data Integrator and Workato, as well as leading EDI platforms.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and customers.

Desired Experience

• Collecting, analyzing and documenting business requirements for the purpose of designing custom software solutions.
• High-level understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) for business applications.
• Develop, optimize and support NetSuite customizations and integrations.
• Enhance performance and scalability of NetSuite, related customizations and 3rd-party applications.
• Collaborating with NetSuite or other SDN partners in developing certified SuiteApps.
• Data modeling, SaaS/Cloud and Oracle database architecture.
