  4. Transforming client processes and optimizing their management practices

Product Management Specialist

Supports the client for profit and growth for cards, from revenue to credit costs (including Fraud) and direct/allocated costs.

Supports client for product management for cards, audit, compliance matters, and complaints support.

Guides and supports in executing strategies aimed at generating revenue through products in alignment with consumer banking strategy, with a focus on whole bank value.

Provides guidance and support to client-facing professionals and sales teams to solve complex client needs through products in conjunction with acquisitions vertical.

Supports the effort to develop and execute marketing campaigns to drive product growth, ensuring collaboration with the internal marketing team in conjunction with acquisitions vertical.

Helps execute end-to-end solutions for all client segments, resulting in a superior customer experience.

Helps with training internal stakeholders about the product offerings, ensuring knowledge transfer to facilitate product roll-out.

Performs and analyzes competitive benchmarking of the products vis-à-vis competition and the market, and reviews pricing periodically.

Support Strategy Execution

This role will be responsible for supporting:

  • Managing portfolio growth and customer engagement throughout the lifecycle of a card customer
  • Ensuring balanced growth addressing Credit, Operations, Compliance, and Service Delivery risks
  • The design and development of best-in-class portfolio programs based on local needs and co-creating globally scalable solutions with the central team
  • Managing the delivery of regulatory changes to ensure they are delivered timely with seamless client experience and in a cost-effective manner

Business

Support to develop and implement strategies to grow the credit card portfolio in line with business targets.

Support initiatives related to customer engagement & balance build, including end-to-end management of campaigns across channels to grow spends and balances.

Support the credit card installment plans strategy, including design and construct of payment plans, implementation of an effective sales strategy, and revenue optimization.

Work with Marketing and Analytics teams on customer segmentation to promote usage among existing customers.

Product Innovation and Development

Supports the development of consumer product strategies and value propositions aligned with customer needs and market trends.

Provides guidance and support in services/products and sub-product performance, leading development based on market trends and customer needs.

Helps execute the product strategy to deliver consumer banking solutions to clients.

Supports CVP enhancement of existing services and helps develop and implement new product solutions with a digital-first approach.

Monitors and evaluates the competitive and regulatory environment to ensure products are competitive and meet client needs.

Assists in executing strategic and tactical roadmaps to enhance products and services.

Collaborates across teams to identify gaps and opportunities for product improvement.

Internal Collaboration

Works with cross-product client teams to maximize cross-selling opportunities.

Works with stakeholders including Operations, Technology, Credit, Legal, and Risk to deliver effective client experiences.

Product Roll-out

Supports the commercialization and launch of new products, including pricing, sales tools, and training.

Monitors product performance post-rollout and helps resolve issues for continuous improvement.

Execution and Implementation

Supports delivery of large client programs from initiation to benefit realization, managing risks, issues, and scope adjustments.

Builds strong client relationships, serving as a trusted resource and industry expert.

Identifies new business opportunities for Mastercard solutions.

  • Experience in delivering large, complex projects in a multicultural environment
  • Domain knowledge of payments industry and program management skills
  • Ability to manage multi-disciplinary, multi-geography programs
  • Strong presence and industry insight within client organizations
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities independently under pressure
  • Leadership and team development skills

Your Education & Skills

  • 10-12 years of relevant experience in cards product management
  • Regional experience preferred (e.g., GCC)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA preferred
  • Fluent in local language and English; other languages desirable
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; project management tools preferred
  • Structured project management approach and analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel
