As Assistant Manager – Training in the pet food industry, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering targeted training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees across production, quality, sales, and customer service teams. Your focus will be to ensure that all personnel are well-versed in industry standards, product knowledge, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance, contributing to superior product quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and delivering training programs tailored to the pet food industry, including product formulation, manufacturing processes, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, Sales, and Operations teams to identify skill gaps and create specialized training content.
  • Conduct onboarding training for new hires to ensure understanding of pet food industry standards and company policies.
  • Monitor training effectiveness through assessments, on-the-job performance, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Maintain and update training materials with the latest industry developments, scientific research, and regulatory updates.
  • Manage training records, certifications, and compliance documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing training process enhancements.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations on training impact for senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Food Technology, Animal Nutrition, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in training or learning & development, preferably within the pet food, animal nutrition, or food manufacturing industry.
  • Sound understanding of pet food manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and facilitation skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
