ME / BE in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering (Additional MBA degree is preferred). Minimum 8-10 years' related field experience in Transmission, Distribution and Gas Measurement Function with first-hand knowledge of UFG reduction mechanisms.

Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate measures to improve the profitability of the company through control of Unaccounted for Gas (UFG) losses due to leakages and pilferages.
  2. Identify key areas and recommend or implement policies at Head Office and Regional levels to combat UFG losses; supervise collection of UFG loss data.
  3. Oversee policies/measures to control gas theft, introduce new technologies, and plan raids at suspected pilferage points in coordination with relevant departments.
  4. Monitor and analyze gas reconciliation reports, track UFG loss trends across regions, and report findings to management.
  5. Analyze sector-wise monthly Gas Sales Trends, including cases of Minimum Billed Consumers and Sticky Meters.
  6. Assist in resolving consumer disputes related to UFG losses by presenting cases to the Management Review Committee.
  7. Maintain liaison with regional franchise areas for UFG policy implementation.
  8. Coordinate pressure profiling of the system to control leakages and plan/upscale measurement technologies to reduce measurement errors.
  9. Introduce and assess new technologies and pilot projects relevant to UFG reduction.
  10. Conduct coordination meetings with regional and head office teams for UFG control activities.
  11. Prepare and monitor departmental revenue and capital budgets, and develop cost estimates for new proposals.
  12. Allocate funds to regions for UFG mitigation actions.
  13. Manage, motivate, and train UFG department staff.
  14. Prepare project documents for BOD and OGRA approvals, and coordinate reporting on Key Monitoring Indicators and audits.
  15. Present UFG activities and progress to the BOD, attend OGRA meetings, and respond to inquiries regarding disputed cases and projects.
