We are looking for a UAS (Drone) Swarm AI Engineer to perform the following tasks:

  1. Responsibilities:
  2. Algorithm Development: Design and develop AI algorithms for swarm intelligence, enabling drones to communicate, collaborate, and perform tasks autonomously in a coordinated manner.
  3. Simulation and Testing: Create and utilize simulation environments to test and validate swarm behaviors, ensuring robustness and efficiency before deployment in real-world scenarios.
  4. System Integration: Integrate AI algorithms with drone hardware and software systems, ensuring seamless operation and communication within the swarm.
  5. Optimization: Optimize swarm algorithms for performance, scalability, and energy efficiency, considering onboard processing power and battery life constraints.
  6. Research and Innovation: Stay current with advancements in AI, swarm robotics, and multi-agent systems; apply new techniques to enhance drone swarm capabilities.
  7. Field Testing: Conduct field tests and demonstrations with our Ops teams to evaluate drone swarm performance in real-world conditions, making necessary adjustments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
  • 2+ years of experience in AI, machine learning, robotics, or related areas, with specific expertise in swarm intelligence or multi-agent systems
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, TensorRT, PyTorch, PyTorch Mobile, or scikit-learn
  • Strong knowledge of swarm intelligence algorithms and multi-agent systems
  • Familiarity with robotics software frameworks like ROS (Robot Operating System)
  • Experience with simulation tools like Gazebo, Webots, or custom environments
  • Understanding of communication protocols and networking for drone-to-drone and drone-to-ground communication
  • Familiarity with edge computing platforms and hardware accelerators (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson, Google Coral, ARM Cortex), focusing on NVIDIA Jetson Orin
