The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is a leading unit in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for its work in public health and primary healthcare development. It comprises five operational sections: Epidemiology & Biostatistics, Health Policy & Management, Population & Reproductive Health, Environmental Health & Climate Change, and Non-communicable Diseases & Mental Health.
This is a short-term, grant-funded contractual position.
Responsibilities- Assist in managing payment requests, such as wages, travel, advances, and reimbursements, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance
- Follow up with the finance department for timely payments
- Help prepare petty cash statements, check bills for compliance, and address audit queries
- Maintain petty cash funds, document transactions, and resolve discrepancies
- Coordinate with HRSG team for temporary employment related to grants
- Organize records related to contracts, purchase requisitions, and ROPs for reporting and analysis
- Prepare purchase requisitions and obtain approvals to streamline procurement
- Support grant managers with HRSG inquiries and grant payments
- Respond to emails promptly for effective communication
- Assist in planning and executing events and workshops
- Support the Principal Investigator with grant management responsibilities
- Intermediate or Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- At least one year of relevant experience in finance and administration
- Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Urdu
- Strong interpersonal and team skills
- Flexibility to work extended hours and off days
- Ability to handle challenging situations
