The affiliated Aga Khan University Hospital provides state-of-the-art clinical facilities and well-equipped diagnostic services. The University currently has teaching sites in Pakistan, East Africa, the United Kingdom, and Afghanistan, and is a major component of Aga Khan Development Network.
The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality, and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational sections: Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health & climate change, and Non-communicable diseases & mental health.
This is a grant-funded contractual position.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible to:
- assist in managing and organizing classrooms/tutorial rooms and spaces including booking venues across CHS for sessions, meetings, and other events
- assist in routine administrative tasks including typing, filing, printing, photocopying, and verification of assets (Inventory)
- provide logistic support to assigned faculty and staff members
- assist and coordinate the organization and arrangement of workshops, seminars, and other departmental events
- assist the Administrative Officer in preparing daily transport schedules for field sites
- liaise with Safety & Security, House Keeping, Maintenance, Communication, and other departments for day to day functioning of the department
- assist the department manager in regular activities regarding shifting/transfer and placement of furniture and fixtures and ensure the cleanliness of classrooms and other venues
- prepare and maintain Requests of Payment (ROP), and follow up with Finance for timely payments
- prepare petty cash vouchers and statements
- prepare Personnel Requisition, obtain necessary approvals, and follow up with concerned departments
- maintain records of Personnel Requisitions, appointments, and resignations
- provide technical support for virtual classrooms such as preparing Zoom links, arranging systems, and peripheral devices
- carry out any other task as assigned by the supervisor.
You should have:
- Bachelor's degree in any relevant field
- at least one year of relevant experience
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- proficient in using Microsoft Office, knowledge of relational Database will be an asset
- fluency in written and spoken English and Urdu
- ability to meet strict deadlines
- ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
