Position Purpose:
To provide support role to REDC's House-Keeping department.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. To provide courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, in guest rooms, public areas and back of house areas.
  2. To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of rooms related service and products.
  3. To ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
  4. To handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to the Supervisor. If no immediate solution can be found then ensure follow up with guests.
  5. To hand over to the Supervisor/Executive Housekeeper all lost & found items with full and detailed information.
  6. To have a complete understanding of the different cleaning products and their economical use.
  7. To understand and strictly adhere to the rules & regulations established by LUMS on fire, hygiene, health and safety.
  8. To report on duty punctually, wearing the correct uniform at all times.
  9. To maintain a good rapport and working relationship with staff in the place of work and all other departments.
  10. To undertake additional duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Supervisor.
  11. To assist in carrying out quarterly, bi-yearly, annual inventory of operating equipment.
