Overview

To take total responsibility for the day-to-day running of the front of house operations, the image and standards of the customer-facing operation, and the back office functions in their entirety.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure profits are maximized and targets are successfully achieved.
  • Control costs for the property effectively.
  • Motivate and inspire the team, ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
  • Maintain high performance standards by implementing changes and ongoing improvements.
  • Maximize guest satisfaction to encourage repeat business.
  • Manage budgets and financial plans, controlling expenditure.
  • Maximize sales revenue.
  • Ensure the team maintains brand standards consistently.
  • Supervise maintenance, supplies, renovations, and furnishings.
  • Ensure effective security measures are in place.
  • Handle weekly accounts and all company paperwork according to audit procedures.
  • Work within company-set budgets for food, linen, and cleaning costs to meet service standards.
  • Control cash handling processes to ensure accuracy and responsibility.
  • Manage stock levels, ensuring weekly stock takes are completed accurately and timely.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to increase incremental sales and meet/exceed targets.
  • Oversee all customer service aspects to exceed expectations.
  • Develop product knowledge to ensure accurate service delivery.
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to customer feedback and complaints to identify trends and take proactive measures.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Implement all Health and Safety procedures according to company standards.
  • Provide detailed and accurate reports as required by management.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, ensuring understanding of product and service specifications.
  • Complete orders following company procedures to maintain correct stock levels.
  • Manage incidents in line with hotel policies.
  • Ensure staff are trained adequately in local procedures.
  • Anticipate potential problems and act proactively to resolve them.
  • React appropriately to unexpected situations following company procedures.
