Job Purpose / Overview

To support the day-to-day running of the front desk and front-of-house operations by providing exceptional guest service, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out procedures, maintaining company standards, and assisting with administrative and operational tasks to enhance the guest experience.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome all guests in a professional and friendly manner, creating a positive first impression.
  • Assist in managing front desk operations including reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and room assignments.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction is maintained at all times by responding promptly to inquiries, requests, and complaints.
  • Maintain the professional appearance and cleanliness of the front desk and reception area.
  • Support the Front Office Manager in delivering company brand standards and service excellence.
  • Monitor and maintain guest records, including accurate data entry in PMS (Property Management System).
  • Handle guest billing, cash handling, and credit card transactions with accuracy and security.
  • Assist in monitoring room availability and coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance teams.
  • Prepare daily reports and assist with weekly front desk documentation and audits as required.
  • Ensure security protocols are followed including ID verification, key issuance, and emergency procedures.
  • Provide concierge-level support with local information, transport, and general guest needs.
  • Take part in staff briefings and training sessions to ensure updated knowledge of procedures and promotions.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns immediately to the relevant department.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless and coordinated guest experience.
  • Escalate issues to the Front Office Manager where necessary and follow up on outcomes.
