The role involves providing hands-on architecture leadership, guidance, and mentoring to our architecture and engineering teams. The candidate will collaborate closely and ensure the delivery of high-quality, robust, and scalable solutions.

The Associate Solution Architect should be a thought leader with real-world business sense and the ability to collaborate across functions. They must have a strong understanding and proven experience with scalable web applications, especially those based on deep tech, and demonstrate fluency with Microservices Architecture, Backend APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, and real-time data analytics.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Adding value to development teams across various tech stacks by addressing technical risks.
  2. Building early prototypes and validating technical design and performance.
  3. Understanding long-term business objectives and suggesting technical strategies, introducing innovation.
  4. Adjusting product architecture responsively as requirements and technologies evolve.
  5. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and formulate appropriate architecture.
  6. Translating software architecture into design with the development team.
  7. Participating actively in the development process.
  8. Working closely with product management, QA, and DevOps teams.
  9. Aligning IT needs with enterprise strategy.
  10. Implementing standards, reference architectures, and technology selection.
  11. Analyzing gaps in technology practices and translating them into opportunities.
  12. Participating in architecture audits and providing value where gaps exist.
  13. Defining architecture principles and researching current and future technology standards.
  14. Managing architecture information and artifacts using appropriate tools.

The desired technical skills and experience include:

  1. 8+ years of hands-on software development and large-scale project delivery.
  2. Proficiency in scalable software design and architecture.
  3. Knowledge of software development methodologies.
  4. Experience designing cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  5. Strong understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, networking, DevOps, CI/CD.
  6. Deep knowledge of databases, data modeling, and optimization.
  7. Advocacy for SOLID principles and mentoring teams on best practices.
  8. Practitioner of common design patterns and experience with various architecture patterns such as Microservices, Layered, CQRS, SOA, Hexagonal, Event-driven, Serverless.
