Job Description

The role involves providing hands-on architecture leadership, guidance, and mentoring to our architecture and engineering teams. The candidate will be a close collaborator, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, robust, and scalable solutions.

The Associate Solution Architect will be a thought leader with real-world business sense and the ability to collaborate across functions. They should have a strong understanding and proven hands-on experience with scalable web applications supporting a large user base, particularly with deep tech. Fluency in Microservices Architecture, Backend APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, and real-time data analytics is required.

The Associate Solution Architect leads the development team to solve complex problems and resolve technological disagreements with informed solutions.

Responsibilities:
  1. Add value to development teams across various tech stacks and domains by addressing technical risks.
  2. Build early prototypes of product components and validate them for design and performance.
  3. Understand long-term business objectives and suggest technical strategies, fostering innovation through technology.
  4. Be responsive and decisive in adjusting product architecture as customer requirements, market conditions, and technologies evolve.
  5. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and formulate appropriate architecture solutions, balancing advocacy and compromise.
  6. Work with the development team to translate architecture into design.
  7. Participate actively in the development process as needed.
  8. Collaborate closely with product management, development, QA, and DevOps teams.
  9. Align IT initiatives with the enterprise's strategic direction.
  10. Implement standards, reference architectures, and select appropriate technologies.
  11. Analyze gaps in the company's technology architecture and translate them into opportunities.
  12. Participate in architecture audits and provide insights into gaps in software, logical, technical, database, cloud, and operational areas.
  13. Define architecture principles to guide technology decisions.
  14. Research current and future technology standards to address stakeholder concerns.
  15. Utilize tools and repositories for managing architecture information and artifacts.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 8 years of experience in hands-on software development, application design, and delivery of large-scale projects.
  2. Proficiency in scalable software design and architecture.
  3. Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and processes.
  4. Experience designing cloud-native solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  5. Solid understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, networking, DevOps, and CI/CD fundamentals.
  6. Deep understanding of databases with experience in complex data modeling and optimization.
  7. Advocate of SOLID principles, mentoring teams on best practices for maintainability and security.
  8. Proficiency with common design patterns like Singleton, Builder, Factory, Provider.
  9. Experience designing and maintaining applications using multiple architecture patterns such as Microservices, Layered, CQRS, SOA, Hexagonal, Event-driven, Serverless.
