About this position:

Based in Lahore, this position reports directly to the CFO with a bright career development opportunity. This position requires managing a team of professionals and looking into all spectrums of finance and accounting.

Required Experience/Responsibilities

  • Effective supervision of the Finance & Accounting team to ensure smooth delivery of tasks.
  • Independently prepare annual financial statements and quarterly accounts.
  • Have good knowledge of bookkeeping in terms of maintenance of General Ledger, preparation of Trial Balance, and Accounts.
  • Supervise day-to-day accounting functions to properly allocate research project revenues and expenditures in accordance with funding guidelines and recognized cost principles.
  • Assist in preparing the company's annual budget and thereafter regular analysis of actual performance.
  • In coordination with project teams, finalize research grants and project agreements along with their budgets.
  • Ensure proper recording of all research grants, check over expenses as per approved budgets, and report to donors as per agreements.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of project accounting and reporting.
  • Ensure timely issuance of invoices and strong control over receivable management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of all transactions. Expenses and revenues are booked to relevant projects/cost centers. Fixed assets are properly reported and recorded.
  • Liaison with external and internal auditors and take the lead in conducting audits.
  • Able to maintain good relationships with banks. Prepare cash flow and manage liquidity based on working capital needs.
  • Specific to NPOs, demonstrate a strong grip on tax laws, SECP compliance, and other laws.
  • Supervise payments to ensure timely processing and compliance with relevant taxes.

Required Qualification & Skills

  • CA Inter, ACCA, Master's in Finance and Accounting.
  • Up to 8-10 years of relevant experience. Working with NPO will be a plus.
  • Team player and effective cross-departmental interaction.
  • Proficient in the English language.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong grip on MS Excel/financial modelling/QuickBooks.
  • Experience with SAP will be an added advantage.
