A great opportunity for a Group Accountant to join an exciting and interesting international business that will empower and develop an individual that is up for a challenge. As a Group Accountant, you will help the month end process and all general accounting activities for the designated Holding companies. You will get involved with the accounting of various of the group's subsidiaries. You will also perform account reconciliations, financial analysis, and statutory reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Assist the month-end and year-end closing activities of respective holding companies/subsidiaries as per accounting policies and procedures
  • Perform General Ledger reconciliations, Inter-company reconciliations, Balance sheet and P&L analysis
  • Assist in financial statement analysis, work close with reporting managers on group deliverables
  • Prepare workings for various accounting treatments as per IFRS
  • Assist reporting managers during statutory audits of the respective holding entities
  • Analysis of financial statements, help in report writing and prepare various reporting packs
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of financial and accounting operations and systems, procedures and practices considering automation and improvement of business processes
  • Work closely with the team to achieve the overall team's objectives
  • Review and verify expense recharges, supplier invoices, and inter-company transactions

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or ACCA Finalist
  • Minimum of 1-2 years' accounting and financial reporting experience in accounting or related role
  • Detailed understanding and application of IFRS (including newly introduced standards)
  • Expert in using MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of using Sage ERP (desirable)
  • Possess analytical, statistical and numeracy skills including problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Relationship building and stakeholder management ability strong written and verbal communication skills
