Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic professional to lead our Business Development & Partnerships function. This role is crucial in driving company growth through strategic alliances, channel expansion, and new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the digital payments ecosystem, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a proven track record in securing and managing partnerships that contribute to long-term business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Growth & Planning:
  • Define and execute a comprehensive business development and partnerships strategy aligned with the company's mission and objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, verticals, and merchant segments for expansion.
  1. Partnership Management:
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with banks, fintechs, retail chains, e-commerce platforms, telecoms, and technology providers.
  • Foster long-term relationships with key stakeholders to drive collaborative growth initiatives.
  • Lead initiatives to onboard small and medium merchants, ensuring alignment with product offerings and market needs.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market plans and campaigns.
  • Work closely with product and technology teams to ensure partner feedback informs product enhancements and new solution development.
  • Stay updated with industry trends to identify innovative services or features that can create a competitive edge.
  1. Leadership & Team Development:
  • Build and lead a high-performing business development team.
  • Cultivate a results-driven and partnership-first culture within the department.
  1. Performance & Reporting:
  • Monitor KPIs and business metrics to evaluate partnership performance and ROI.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on growth initiatives and pipeline status.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or corporate strategy, ideally within fintech, payments, banking, or digital services.
  • Strong network within the financial services and/or technology ecosystem in Pakistan.
  • Proven ability to close high-impact deals and manage cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
