About the Role:

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing on-ground indirect sales activities within the assigned territory through the franchise channel and converting market opportunities to drive sales.

Your Impactful Goals will include:

Achievement of assigned monthly/annual targets through effective franchise management. KPIs have been mentioned below:

  1. Gross Adds - First Call Activation (FCA)
  2. Revenue - Primary & Secondary Recharge
  3. Business growth and improvement of market share within the assigned territory
  4. Financial Services, Devices and Internet product offerings
  5. Location based Business Segment KPIs
  6. Execution of Key strategic projects in line with organizational goals
  7. Responsible for franchise servicing and retail enablement of assigned territory
  8. Ensuring Telenor Way for Work & Telenor Values from Franchise Channel

How will your Typical Day look like:

  1. Timely and effective communication of targets and its monitoring/reporting.
  2. Regular market visits to gather insights and competitor information.
  3. Route planning and target setting for RSOs.
  4. Profitability monitoring and staffing at Franchise end.
  5. Staff motivation and training sessions.
  6. Ongoing improvement of trends (minimum balance retailers, servicing at retail level for FS and GSM).
  7. Retail footprint expansion to increase availability of products and services.
  8. Channel investment monitoring.
  9. Ensuring and improving quality of sales.
  10. Work on other projects assigned by line manager with the aim to constantly improve Sales & Distribution target achievement.

Your Career Path:

This position offers the following career path options besides growth within indirect sales channel:

  1. Roles within S&D Operations and S&D Planning, which are more geared towards planning instead of day to day execution.
  2. Trade Marketing - Regional execution or nationwide planning.
  3. Direct/Corporate selling within Business Solutions department.

What we're looking for:

Education: Bachelor's degree with specialization in any field, preferably on the Business side.

Work experience: Experience in a sales and/or distribution role in an organization with a sizeable distribution network. Experience as a team leader would be preferred.
