Job Description
  1. Responsible for assigning and supervising tasks of supervisors, officers, and staff within the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments.
  2. Ensure staff duties are assigned appropriately, and work conforms to cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
  3. Recommend improvements to enhance service quality and operational efficiency. Conduct daily visits to campus facilities and maintain visitation records.

  7. Coordinate with nursing and other units to obtain cleaning requirements and deploy staff accordingly, preparing work assignments.
  8. Evaluate and analyze results to identify optimal solutions, resolve issues, and share outcomes with supervisors or seek guidance.
  9. Provide written and verbal information to supervisors, colleagues, and subordinates as needed.
  10. Coordinate activities among clinical and non-clinical departments.
  11. Inspect equipment and facilities, including waste areas, to determine repair, cleaning, or replacement needs, and recommend actions to management.
  12. Conduct staff meetings to discuss policies, address complaints, and maintain records.
  13. Manage supplies and equipment issuance, maintain records, and ensure safe usage.
  14. Establish standards and procedures for housekeeping staff work.
  15. Liaise with the hospital infection control team and departmental management regarding cleaning system upkeep.
  16. Participate in departmental meetings, maintain records, and submit monthly performance reports by the 3rd of each month.
  17. Ensure compliance with the Indus Code of Conduct and confidentiality policies, with disciplinary actions for breaches.
  18. Develop and maintain monthly schedules and rosters with approval from the HOD, ensuring smooth execution.
  19. Oversee waste disposal processes, ensuring proper handling of contaminated and non-contaminated waste and sharps, in accordance with policies.
  20. Maintain accurate records of waste collection and disposal for verification.
  21. Ensure the main waste disposal area remains clean and tidy after waste collection.
  22. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Head of Department.
