Position Summary:

Habib AG Zurich Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive NOC Staff member to monitor, manage, and support the Bank's critical IT infrastructure 24/7. The NOC Staff will be responsible for ensuring network uptime, banking systems availability, and prompt response to incidents that may impact banking operations. This position requires strong technical aptitude, banking system awareness, and a high sense of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor core banking services, network devices, servers, and applications for performance and availability using monitoring tools.
  • Detect, diagnose, and resolve incidents in real-time or escalate according to established escalation matrix.
  • Maintain operational logs, ITSM ticketing systems, and incident reports with clear documentation and time stamps.
  • Perform routine system health checks, backup verification, and data center support tasks.
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors during outages, upgrades, or maintenance windows.
  • Ensure SLA compliance and proper escalation paths for critical issues.
  • Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for system monitoring, event handling, and service restorations.
  • Participate in disaster recovery (DR) drills, security patching coordination, and system audits.
  • Maintain awareness of cybersecurity threats and report anomalies to the security team.
  • Supporting internal staffs on IT related issues in absence of Desktop support engineer.
  • Work in 24x7 shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in NOC, IT support, or systems/network monitoring.
  • Knowledge of core banking systems, payment platforms (SWIFT, FTS, WPS, NPSS, IPI), and banking compliance standards is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Zabbix, Manage Engine Operations Manager).
  • Strong knowledge of Linux command-line operations is important for handling day to day operations.
  • Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN), servers (Windows/Linux), and database systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • IT Industry related Certifications is a plus.

Working Conditions:
