METRO opened its first cash & carry wholesale center in Pakistan in 2007 and expanded to 5 wholesale centers within 18 months. In July 2012, METRO and Makro-Habib merged their wholesale businesses in Pakistan, forming a long-term partnership that strengthened their market position. This merger enabled both companies to combine resources, enhance financial strength, and generate synergies to benefit customers and suppliers. Currently, the company operates 10 wholesale centers across Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Islamabad, and Faisalabad.

METRO Pakistan (Pvt) Limited is part of METRO GROUP's sales division, METRO Cash & Carry, a global leader in self-service wholesale with over 750 stores in 25 countries across Europe, Asia, and Africa, employing more than 107,000 people. In 2016/17, the company's sales were approximately 37 billion Euro.

Job Description
  • Lead and implement HR policies and procedures, aligning HR activities with organizational goals.
  • Monitor HR analytics to enhance employee productivity.
  • Design and implement employee engagement initiatives.
  • Identify critical roles through robust succession planning.
  • Build organizational capability aligned with business strategy.
  • Support operations and sales teams in identifying and developing high-potential talent.
  • Ensure structured and transparent performance management processes, providing facilitation and support to employees and stakeholders.
  • Manage payroll processes monthly, including attendance, leaves, provident fund, promotions, transfers, grievances, and employee records.
  • Lead employee relations at the store level, ensuring compliance with labor laws and legal requirements.
Qualifications

Minimum graduation, preferably in HR.

Additional Information

Relevant experience of 3-4 years.

Strong communication skills.
