Job Description

Detail-oriented and trustworthy individual required to manage cheque handling, system updates, and banking-related tasks. The role demands a proactive and organized approach, with comfort in handling financial documentation and supporting operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive cheques/pay orders from key account customers
  • Verify cheque details and deposit into appropriate bank accounts
  • Record and update payment entries in the accounting system
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Follow up with banks on cheque clearance, discrepancies, and related issues
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve mismatches
  • Coordinate with internal departments and customers on payment status
  • Handle banking-related activities including deposits, withdrawals, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations
  • Provide support to the dispatch rider in carrying out duties, as needed
  • Perform additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the reporting or skip-level manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field
  • Familiarity with MS Office 2024 (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Query)
  • Basic understanding of banking procedures and financial documentation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Skills

  • Experience handling cash and cheques
  • Effective communication and coordination abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
