Today, the company operates 10 wholesale centers across Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Islamabad, and Faisalabad.

METRO Pakistan (Pvt) Limited is part of METRO GROUP's sales division, METRO Cash & Carry, an international leader in self-service wholesale. The company operates over 750 stores in 25 countries across Europe, Asia, and Africa, with a workforce of more than 107,000 employees. In 2016/17, sales were approximately 37 billion Euro.

Job Description
  • Manage and harmonize QA activities in the store in charge.
  • Ensure the completeness and effectiveness of QA activities, including monitoring product quality, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal procedures, handling product quality and hygiene issues, and liaising with relevant authorities.
  • Conduct audits at the respective stores and areas as per scope.
  • Perform supplier visits for audits and improvements.
  • Manage withdrawal and recall activities in case of serious food safety, legality, or quality incidents.
  • Follow up and conduct quality monitoring programs, including sampling and testing of purchased products.
  • Implement other programs such as equipment calibration, water testing, hygiene training, and health examinations as per regulations.
  • Perform random checks on incoming, stored, or displayed products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Coordinate with local authorities for information, support, and documentation.
  • Participate in internal quality inspections and suggest corrective actions or improvements.
  • Engage in self-development through training courses to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain high subject matter expertise and effectively share knowledge with others.
Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology.
