Job Title: Field Operations Coordinator
Job Location: Karachi

Role Statement

Responsible for planning and organizing inspection related activities, preparing quotations, monitoring market trends, and handling customer complaints. The position operates in line with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy.

Responsibilities
  1. Verify cargo quantity, quality, and condition.
  2. Conduct visual inspections of cargo, tanks, and equipment.
  3. Check documentation (e.g., certificates of origin, quality certificates).
  4. Monitor loading/unloading operations.
  5. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  6. Collect and analyze cargo samples.
  7. Ensure compliance with international safety standards.
  8. Conduct risk assessments and report potential hazards.
  9. Prepare and submit inspection reports along with complete documents.
  10. Participate in training and professional development.
  11. Verify shore tank calibration and accuracy.
  12. Measure cargo quantities using approved methods (e.g., API, ASTM).
  13. Verify cargo weights and volumes against documentation.
  14. Respect security and safety guidelines of BV and safeguard personal safety & security in the working environment.
  15. Maintain quality of work & reporting, ensuring no complaints.
  16. Perform any other job responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Technical Competencies

The following competencies are required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry/Geology or a Diploma holder in IFIA.
  • Both fresh graduates and experienced candidates are welcome to apply.
  • Probation period: 6 months
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
