To be responsible for integrating the hospital's strategic plan with operations to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the hospital, including management of the profit and loss statement for the hospital's business, as well as the related resources associated with hospital operations to deliver the best healthcare services to patients and achieve financial sustainability.
Responsibilities:
- Execute an operational plan for the hospital to provide outstanding healthcare services and increase patient numbers in OPD/IPD.
- Ensure smooth hospital operations and provide necessary guidelines to the hospital team for effective functioning.
- Prepare proposals with estimates for new projects, including construction, renovation, and maintenance, as outlined in the hospital's five-year plan.
- Participate in strategic and operational planning under the leadership of the CEO of Teaching Hospitals.
- Ensure the availability of competent human resources based on workload and healthcare standards within approved budgets, and supervise staff training and development.
- Implement CEO Teaching Hospitals initiatives to transform hospital culture towards positivity, knowledge sharing, responsibility, flexibility, and empowerment, to deliver patient-centered care.
- Collaborate with communities, educational institutes, and NGOs on healthcare awareness campaigns, medical campuses, and patient attraction strategies.
- Provide leadership support to the Manager of Operations to ensure optimal facility management, ambulance services, transport, hostels, and cafeteria services.
- Implement preventive maintenance plans for biomedical equipment to ensure their smooth functioning.
- Manage supply chain processes for medical and non-medical items to support hospital operations.
- Participate in budget planning and assist the CEO in obtaining approval for the hospital's operating budget.
- Manage hospital finances within budget guidelines, adhering to policies and legal requirements.
- Achieve revenue and profitability targets by providing quality healthcare services and monitoring progress regularly.
- Deliver cost-effective healthcare through process improvements, effective purchasing, and resource utilization.
- Implement technology integration in hospital operations via HIMS/SAP systems.
- Ensure delivery of quality medical and nursing care, with regular monitoring through rounds in OPD, wards, OT, pharmacy, and lab.
- Execute marketing strategies, especially on social media, to promote hospital services and achieve revenue growth as per the hospital's five-year plan.
- Ensure ISO 9001:2015 standards are implemented and maintained with successful audits.
- Develop operational plans for high-quality healthcare and ensure an outstanding patient experience in outpatient and inpatient services.
- Manage quality documentation, audits, and the implementation of audit findings in coordination with the TQM department.
- Oversee undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs in line with PMDC/CPSP guidelines.
- Implement Continuous Medical Education programs and measure their impact on patient care.
- Embed the Riphah Mission and Islamic Ethical Values in staff behaviors and hospital practices, developing mechanisms for reflection in daily activities.
