• Design enterprise-wide e-commerce solutions using expertise in digital and e-commerce solutions.
• Review the existing architecture and make recommendations for improvements.
• Improve cycle time and provide faster services to the frontend from third-party systems. Develop solutions to ensure a system of record integrity.
• Use software design methodology standards to provide technical, architectural, and development value and leadership on an e-commerce platform.
• Work with Solution Architects to establish a technical vision for the project based on business requirements.
• Contribute to the organization in designing and developing frameworks, tools, and accelerators that enhance the ability of technology team members and the organization.
• Contribute to new business opportunities by participating in pre-sales - provide solutions and drive technical discussions with client and internal stakeholders.
• Provide development estimates for large feature sets to Architects and Project Managers to build Work Breakdown Structures and project plans.
• Provide subject-matter expertise to support the project delivery team and other third-party development teams as needed.
• Collaborate with Technical Architects / Solution Architects to create and maintain strategic roadmaps, principles, standards, and reference architectures.
• Maintain and monitor technical architecture structures from business capability to applications to data, establishing technical architecture compliance.
• Provide guidance to Project Managers and Business Analysts in developing requirements and establishing compliance with business architecture, enterprise, and functional area strategic roadmaps.

• 12+ years of experience in overall application engineering and technology.
• Good knowledge of enterprise-level technical solutions within the retail and e-commerce landscape is a must.
• 10+ years of work experience as a senior technology engineer and/or architecture is crucial.
• Relevant experience in leading e-commerce systems (Salesforce Commerce Cloud/Demandware, Kibo Commerce, Shopify, Commercetools, Sitecore Commerce, Episerver Commerce, etc.).
• Should be technology agnostic and must have worked on different applications.
• Expertise in e-commerce subsystems and all business models (B2B/B2C/D2D) is a must.
• Experience in developing business solutions using Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Demandware).
• Advanced knowledge of e-commerce strategies and commerce operations management is desirable.
• Should be hands-on with omnichannel Order Management Systems and analytics platforms.
• Expertise in RESTful web services, Ajax-driven client applications, and Advanced JavaScript architectures is crucial.
• Must have a strong background in World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), accessibility guidelines, model view controller (MVC), agile development, and tools.
• Expertise in Pipelines, JavaScript controllers, ISML templates, and real-time data exchange using web services.
• Hands-on experience in integrating custom services into SFCC. Good exposure to payment, tax, and operation management suite (OMS) integrations.
• Good understanding of Business Manager and configuring jobs.
• Exposure to technical reports and understanding of Demandware limitations, such as quotas.
• Proficient in Demandware foundational concepts with good knowledge of SiteGenesis, UX Studio, content assets or slots, and Demandware Catalog.
