Automation Tester Job Description\

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Automation Tester with experience in testing APIs and data pipelines.

\About the Role\

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing.

  • Testing APIs using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.\
  • Validating ETL processes and ensuring accurate and complete data flow within the Data Warehouse.\
  • Writing and executing SQL queries to perform data validation against large datasets.\
  • Working closely with developers, data engineers, and product managers to understand and test system requirements.\
  • Participating in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.\
  • Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs through resolution.\
\Requirements\

  • A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in Software QA, including automation and API testing.\
  • Strong knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).\
  • Hands-on experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, Rest Assured).\
  • Solid understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and data validation techniques.\
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.\
  • Understanding of ETL workflows and testing strategies for data pipelines.\
  • Good understanding of CI/CD and version control systems (e.g., Git).\
  • Excellent English communication skills – both verbal and written.\
