Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for a skilled Software Quality Assurance Specialist to design and execute effective manual test cases for the product and APIs based on product requirements and technical documentation.
  • The ideal candidate will independently perform all aspects of testing, including smoke, functional, integration, system, regression, and automation testing.
  • They will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and engineers, to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
  • The candidate will analyze and troubleshoot issues by reviewing system behavior, logs, and data flows to assist in root-cause identification.
  • They will create and maintain structured test documentation, including test cases, test execution results, and QA sign-offs.
  • The successful candidate will actively participate in sprint ceremonies, contributing to story refinement and test planning.
  • They will track and manage defects using a defect management tool, ensuring clear documentation, prioritization, and timely resolution.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • 0-2 years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of QA methodologies, test life cycle, and defect management.
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar is desired.
  • Familiarity with automated testing and API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and scripting is a plus.
