Clinical Nurse Educator

To excel as a Clinical Nurse Educator, you must possess exceptional interpersonal skills, being able to effectively communicate with nursing staff and promote a culture of ongoing learning.

Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement educational programs tailored to meet the specific needs of our nursing staff, ensuring they stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines.
  • Staff Assessment and Support: Conduct thorough assessments to identify areas where nurses require additional training or support, and develop strategies to address these gaps in knowledge and skills.
  • Continuing Education: Organize and deliver high-quality continuing education sessions, workshops, and conferences that cater to diverse learning styles and preferences.
  • Credentialing and Competency-Based Orientation: Oversee the credentialing process for new staff members, ensuring timely completion of all required competencies and certifications.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Pair experienced nurses with new staff members, providing guidance and support throughout their onboarding process and beyond.
  • Evaluation and Quality Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our educational programs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance overall quality and patient outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited institution and a valid professional nursing license.
  • Certification in ACLS/BLS, Safe Medication Administration, Intravenous Cannulation, and Conscious Sedation (as applicable).
  • At least three years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a leadership or education capacity.
