
Senior Grant Specialist

This position oversees the entire grant lifecycle, ensuring seamless alignment with organizational goals and priorities. The Grants Manager is responsible for identifying funding opportunities, developing tailored proposals, tracking deliverables, maintaining relationships with funders, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration to maximize impact.
Key Responsibilities:- Funding Opportunity Identification & Strategy
- Conduct thorough research to identify relevant grant opportunities from diverse sources, including foundations, corporations, government agencies, and multilaterals.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of current and prospective grant opportunities to ensure continuous growth and success.
- Craft and update a calendar of deadlines for proposals, reports, and renewals to guarantee timely execution.
- Proposal Development & Submission
- Collaborate closely with program and finance teams to create compelling, data-driven proposals and budgets that meet donor requirements.
- Tailor applications to align with specific donor needs and preferences.
- Manage the submission process through designated platforms, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery.
- Grant Administration & Compliance
- Monitor grant agreements for critical milestones, restrictions, and compliance necessities to guarantee adherence to terms.
- Track grant activities and expenses to ensure alignment with budgets and donor expectations, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for grant audits and due diligence, providing expert guidance and support.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare high-quality narrative and financial reports for funders, showcasing achievements and progress towards shared objectives.
- Maintain organized records of grant documentation, reports, and communications to facilitate seamless information exchange.
- Donor & Stakeholder Engagement
- Nurture relationships with donors and funding agencies, fostering open communication and trust.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with program leads and finance team members to ensure successful implementation of grant-funded initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in grants management, fundraising, or donor relations.
- Proven track record of successful grant applications and reporting.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel and grant management tools.
- Experience working with institutional funders (e.g., USAID, UN agencies, Gates Foundation).
- Familiarity with budget development and financial tracking.
