Job Title: Climate Change Facilitator - Youth Development Trainer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled facilitator to conduct interactive training sessions for youth on climate change, community resilience, and sustainable development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct participatory training sessions for youth using project-provided content adapted to local context and language.
  • Mobilize and engage youth participants from diverse backgrounds, ensuring inclusivity and diversity.
  • Maintain high-quality training sessions in line with safeguarding principles and promote local climate action initiatives.
  • Submit session-wise reports, attendance records, and feedback forms to the project team.
  • Coordinate closely with local partners, communities, and project staff for effective training delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working with local communities on youth development, climate change mitigation, and adaptation.
  • Demonstrated training delivery experience with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with local cultural context and social dynamics, as well as knowledge of local climate challenges and climate-related initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities, and ability to work independently.
