About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Community Outreach and Youth Engagement Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the participation of beneficiary households in all phases of project implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

">

  • ">
  • Youth Recruitment and Club Formation: Identify youth participants according to the role profile shared by the British Council through various recruitment strategies.">
  • Facilitating GYM Clubs: Facilitate the process of formation Green Youth Movement clubs in communities through elections.">
  • Operationalising GYM Clubs: Operate GYM clubs in local communities through project planning approach.">
  • Leadership Development: Facilitate GYM leadership in developing their workplans and projects.">
  • Conflict Resolution: Facilitate resolution of disputes and conflicts between individuals and among members of GYM clubs.">
  • Mentoring and Reporting: Provide necessary reporting inputs to the Monitoring and Evaluation (MEL) officer as per standard monitoring formats on a regular basis.">
  • Supporting YLA Teams: Provide mentoring support to Young Leaders' Association (YLA) teams under the GYM clubs.">
  • Reporting and Linkages: Assist Project Manager in development of a clear work plan for PYLI project implementation and capture success stories and lessons learned during implementation.">

  • Youth-Focused Approach: Passion for working with youth and communities is essential.">
  • Basic Knowledge of Climate Change: Basic knowledge of climate change and sustainability is desirable.">
  • Communication Skills: Friendly and approachable attitude with fluency in local language and basic English skills.">
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel within the community and conduct fieldwork.">
